Hey, y'all! Happy Independence Day!
Big thank you to all of our armed forces who dedicate their lives to protecting us and our country - so thankful for all that you do!
I hope everyone has a great day with their family. We're keeping it simple and grilling tonight with another family. Fireworks + local parade are the plans for tonight - and hopefully some frozen yogurt.
Even though today is a celebratory day, don't forget to take a minute to pray for our country. With the healthcare mandate that passed this week, our freedom as Americans IS being threatened. Our founding fathers built this country on foundations of faith and trust in God. Laura wrote an excellent post about today and Fortnight for Freedom.
We are One Nation Under God and will forever be so. Just like the first Americans took a stand for freedom against the British, we as God-fearing people - as Christians - need to take a stand for our Religious Freedom. When you take away that freedom, you take away ALL freedom.
Let's stand for what we believe in - we the people have a voice. So let's raise it! Too many sacrifices have been made for us to stand silent. Today is a celebration of our freedom...and a call to continue to fight for it.
P.S. If you're like me and need a last minute dish or recipe, I put together a post on Graceful Eats with some faaaaabulous recipe links from some of the best on the Internet!
