A moment of music...

Thursday, August 7, 2008

I was browsing on Myspace (quite accidentally) and decided to check Donovan's page (a boy I know, who is a family friend and also my co-worker).

He usually has pretty good music playing, and as I was checking his song history I saw with a thrum of pleasure, he'd had Boston by Augustana at one point. This is one of my favorite songs and I hadn't heard it for the longest time. I listened to it, and was suddenly struck with a urge to share it.... :)

I love long hair on guys. When I say long, I mean the length of the lead singer's hair. Did I also mention brown hair is very nice too? ;)

This is such a lovely video to watch. It just makes me feel so good. There's something so soft about it: the pianos, the muted shades of the band's clothes, the sky and the water itself...

  1. Hi, I found you through Edge's blog. I had never heard this song before, but it's awesome. :)

  2. Hi sweetie! Thank you for your encouragement on my blog. :-) The beautiful photos are from google images.
If you go to the google page, then click on images, then type in what you are after - for example the last one I did I typed in "Jesus praying" and that was one of the images that came up. Be as specific as possible and you should find some beautiful pictures.
BUT, first of all, on the google home page click on 'preferences', then scroll down to 'safe search filtering', choosing STRICT filtering. I tell you this because before I did this some of the images were pretty rude. >-/ Once I ticked the strict filter box I had no more like that. Hope that helps!
    God bless you!!

  3. Hi, thanks for the comment on my blog. It's nice to hear someone liked what I'd written. lol
Speaking of writing, that song was beautiful. It's what our closest beach is like, only ours is whiter. I do that too (without the piano of course) it's nice to sing on the beach when it's deserted. lol
You'll have to come visit. You said you liked rain, so thats an upside. You will fit in with the weather here nicely. lol
    God bless,
    Elizabeth / CoffeeGirl

P.S. You might want to go to this website if you'd like a rosary:

*shrieks in horor and dismay* AHHHHH!!!! WHAT DOES HE THINK HE'S DOING WITH THAT PIANO??????? HE'LL RUIN IT!!!!!!!! I mean... sticking a GRAND PIANO IN THE OCEAN!?!?!?!!?!?!????? And then they just LET IT GET KNOCKED OVER BY THE WAVES INTENTIONALLY????? HOW COULD THEY?????

And I am sorry... but that is an interesting way of playing the piano there...

(Sorry dear, but your mother is a pianist who can't believe the insanity of just LETTING a piano get wet. Sacrilege!)

Nice song... I think. Didn't really listen to it, paying more attention the the crimes being committed against the Grand Pianos.... :-/

I agree! Those are expensive! I hope they added the water later and actually had this performed in a room...not an ocean.

Lol...sorry, Mamma. I love pianos too, but I had no problem watching the video... *dreamily* I was distacted. ;)

Liz, (may I call you that?) I'm hopping on the next plane to Down Under! Yes, thank you! I'd love to visit! :)

Gleh, I love singing by myself at the beach, and I LOVE rainy days. Yes, I think Australia and I are a perfect match..lol.

You're in the mddle of Winter over there, no? One of my favorite seasons. We nots likes nastys hot Sun's days, no, no, Precioussss.

Oui, it is one of my favorite songs. :) I'm glad you liked it! More things we have in Common. I'd love to visit with you... I think we'd have so much fun!
